Daiso Visit

My husband has been intrigued by the arrival of Daiso at the Curve so we decided to pop in on Christmas Eve.

Size-wise it is smaller than the IMM one in Singapore. Have not visited the other Singapore outlets so I don't know how it compares.

Selection of bento-making items was fairly limited. One type of silicone cup and one egg mould. Also saw a couple of rice ball moulds. Bento boxes were limited to just one display unit. It could be that their wider variety has been sold out. Not sure when exactly Daiso opened its doors.

Their insulated bags for food and drinks were popular and there were a few designs.

I managed to find anti-bacterial wet wipes in a pack of 70 - I've been looking for this in Malaysia for a while. And also a pack of 150 multi-coloured bendy drinking straws (my daughter loves these straws!).

Noticed that Daiso is coming to the Klang Valley. More specifically to the Curve. Wonder when they will be opening??? In time for Christmas, I'm sure.

Digital photo books

My domestic helper is going home for her Christmas break so I thought I'd get her a memento to remind her of Malaysia. I've been saving digital photos which feature her in a special folder and finally got some time to get a photo book done.

I asked at a few photo shops (brick and mortar ones) but didn't have much luck. So I went online and found that the search engines almost always sent me to one site. This looked OK but seemed a bit pricy. Searched a bit more and found an old article which compared 3 of these service providers.

Decided to use Pixart. Service was good. I had some issues uploading (my technical problems, not theirs) and my timing was tight. Pixart was extremely helpful. The book looked great and brought tears to my emotional helper's eyes.
